Excuse me for posting quickly while I eat lunch at my desk, but I want to make sure I get in.
1)Sunflower - Sunflowers & Daisy's, my favorite, always look like they are smiling. This one is so perfect. I love that it fills the entire image. I love the crispness & detail of the petals, pistons etc. It seems to have a sense of presence. The image makes me think of summer, crisp clean white sheets on the line. It appears content, in the moment.
2)French Tulip - Love the antique feeling, the softness of the image, how you can feel the textures, almost like down feathers or angel wings. Love the contrast in focus from front blossom to rear blossom. The lighting, directional and highlights certain points. This image is meditative, at ease, spiritual.
Remember I haven't studied photography so these are just the feelings I get from the images.
They are all so beautiful
What fun!
I like the sunflower image the best. Sunflowers are very special to me because they were the favorite flower of a dear friend who passed away. She had looked to them for hope and sunshine during her battle with cancer, and now I think of her whenever I see one.
I also like the poppy image, because it is a little big edgy and has kind of an electric quality.
I love the way they all look together.
These are gorgeous, Beth!!
I love the sepia tones and it's interesting how you made a collage-type poster out of it all.
My two are the calla and the french tulip.
Actually, I love all of them, but the background of the calla adds interest, so I'll go with that. And the french tulip is just different. And it's french.
The Orchid because of how it fills the space and is the total focus. And the Calla because the flower is beautiful, but the background gives interest.
These are all beautiful. It was hard to choose, but I did my usual method of choosing what immediately appeals to me and -then- figuring out why I like it ;p
The two I love are the roses and the sunflower. The roses because they remind me of my daughters bridal bouquet which was a mixture of pink and creams and I have it dried and in my living room. The sunflower because it reminds me of summer and long hot days with a glass of cold lemonade. They are all beautiful but these two are speak to my heart.
Daisys and Sunflowers are often my favorite as well. And, when I saw your photo of the Sunflower I was quite taken with it; however, I must say, the Orchid and the French Tulip.
The French Tulip looks like it could be made of a summery type fabric- I forgot the name, but as soon as I remember, I will post the answer. I like the way it catches the light.
The Orchid- well, how can I put this delicately- is very provocative, sensual.
The combination of the two is spectacular.
I love orchids so the orchid print caught my eye. My favorite all time flower is the call lily and that's why I chose it.
My mother used to grow the best flowers on the block. As a child, we school children used to walk in the local Memorial Day parade, down to the cemetary to lay the flowers we carried on the soldiers graves. I was filled with pride, carrying the prettiest flowers!
My favorite prints are the french tulip, and the poppy, both of which I carried in the parade, and try to grow as well as my mother did.
French tulip and sunflower for me. I like the detail of these two.
All are very pretty.
Poppies, French Tulips.
What a great idea.
Kate sent me! She is right - your photography is gorgeous. I love the sunflower - I always love those. And the poppy - another favorite flower. Now I am going to fun have digging around your blog :)
I like the Sunflower because it reminds me of one of my favorite movies "Under the Tuscan Sun". I also like the French Tulip photo because it's wistful and romantic.
I love the single rose and I'm having a hard time choosing between the Calla and the bouquet of roses, so I think I'd let you surprise me.
Country Girl told me about your blog and I'm glad she did. You also have beautiful photography.
We just got Sepia pictures taken of my children that I am putting in a grouping on a wall in my formal living room. These would look beautiful on the desk below that. Thanks for the chance to enter.
Keep up the great work with your photographs and I'll be back.
*hugs*
While they are all so beautiful my two favorites are French tulips and Sunflower.
Fabulous photos!!
these are beautiful in sepia :) I like the macro sunflower and single rose :)
Beautiful pictures...I like the Calla, because my daughters name is Lily. And I love the roses...because they are just so darn beautiful!
Calla and French Tulip.
Greetings from London.
Hi Beth,
I'm here from Country Girl Kate's blog, and I'm so glad to find your blog. Your work is amazing!
I think my favorites are the single rose, and the french tulips. The single rose is very simple, very graphic with its whorls leading to the center. The french tulips have a full range of beautiful tones, and a wonderful composition. And I have a bit of an obsession with tulips. :)

I love the Calla Lilly and the Orchid! Those are 2 of my favorite flowers ever! I came across your give-away from Country Girl, Kate!
I just want to learn how to photograph flowers like you do. They are amazing! Beautiful, and gorgeous.
If I had to pick, and how can anyone, it would be the french tulip, and the orchid. Stunning use of space, and contrast.

OOoooh wow. I really like the single rose and the calla ones, but that is if I am forced to choose...they are all amazing!
I love the soft tones, and the vintage feel of your shots. Great work!
I love the French Tulips and the Poppies, both for the soft romantic tone they set...
I am loving all of the photos!! But, roses always win out with me! They were my grandmother's passion, and she passed this on to me.
I love the French tulips; I like seeing the two flowers together--one erect but in a softer focus and one with a sharp focus but soft delicate petals.
I also love the Calla Lily. I like the contrast of the natural flower with the manmade drawing--the dark beauty against an architectural, but light line.
I love the calla. It's my favorite flower and you have captured it here in such a beautiful way. So simple, but elegant.
I also love the french tulips.
All of these pieces are gorgeous.
I can never say in words why I like a piece of art, it's more of a feeling.
