~the studio gives me all...to loose myself in the nothing..this week it gave me a special beauty...it opened up , just in time ...as the inches and inches of snow and cold piled up out in the garden...I received my own garden...in my room of my own...

Perhaps I am a bear, or some hibernating animal underneath, for the instinct to be half asleep all winter is so strong in me.

the animal merely makes a bed, which warms with his body, in sheltered place; but man, having discovered fire, boxes up some air in a spacious apartment, and warms that, instead of robbing himself, makes that his bed, in which he can move about divested of more cumbrous clothing, maintain a kind of summer in the midst of winter, and by means of windows even admit the light, and with a lamp lengthen out the day. Thus he goes a step or two beyond instinct, and saves a little time for the fine arts.
from Walden..ch. house- warming...D. Thoreau
~first snow of the season...gives me inspiration to move into my fine art and find peace in that simple pleasure...xo

~return to the beginning; become a child again...

the wise are Children who know...their minds have been emptied of the countless minute somethings of small learning, and filled with the wisdom of the Great Nothing, the Way of the universe.
~from the Tao of Pooh, Chapter.. Nowhere and Nothing
~just having awareness...to see all that surrounds me, gives me peace and freedom to be who I need to be...at this moment.

"the beautiful is everywhere; perhaps more in the arrangement of your saucepans on the white walls of your kitchen than in your eighteenth-century living room or in the official museums."

~where i lived, and what i lived for..walden

"i perceive that we inhabitants of New England live this mean life that we do because our vision does not penetrate the surface of things. We think that that is which appears to be."
Thoreau

~welcome November...i am on the perfect chapter of Walden (where i lived, and what i lived for)
relates to everything i do and don't do, just enjoying every little moment and not getting to attached to anything....xo
